For over five decades, Chart House Waikiki has been a beloved gathering place, known for its warm hospitality, exceptional steaks and seafood, live local entertainment, and breathtaking sunset views over the Ala Wai marina. Originally founded in 1968 by legendary waterman Joey Cabell, the restaurant has remained a cornerstone of Waikiki’s dining scene—evolving with time while staying true to its roots.
In December 2024, Chart House Waikiki reopened after extensive renovations, blending its storied past with a fresh, modernized experience. The newly reimagined space enhances everything guests have always loved about the restaurant, preserving its timeless charm while elevating the dining experience for the next generation.
At the helm of the kitchen, Executive Chef Randy Manuel continues to uphold Chart House Waikiki’s rich culinary traditions. The menu features signature dishes like the Famous Garlic Steak, Filet Mignon, Ahi Mignon, and Paniolo Baby Back Ribs, alongside classic handcrafted cocktails like the Guy Tai and Chart House Pink Lemonade. Whether stopping in for pau hana, a special occasion, or a casual evening with friends, guests can find the same signature flavors they’ve loved for years.

Chart House Waikiki was founded by world-renowned surfer and waterman Joey Cabell, whose influence on both surfing and hospitality is legendary. Over the years, the restaurant has endured challenges—including a devastating fire and the COVID-19 shutdown—but always emerged stronger, a testament to the resilience and dedication that Joey instilled in its foundation.
